I just bought a 2nd monitor that arrives Sunday. I was considering getting an OLED but burn-in risk is a problem for me because I leave my monitor on all the time. I have an AOC Q27G3XMN and I have a 2nd identical one coming on Sunday. I've had this monitor since November 2024 and I've been very happy with it. Newer upgraded versions have been released since and I was considering adding one of the upgraded versions but I'm happy with this monitor and I like the idea of having identical monitors in a dual monitor setup. It's a mini-LED with dimming zones which is the closest you can get to OLED without having to baby sit it to avoid burn-in. The other benefit is that it's brightness goes up to 1200 nits and bright OLED monitors are usually over $1000 CAD. I bought these monitors on sale for $350 CAD during Black Friday in November 2024 and during Prime Days a couple days ago. Same price both times. The upgraded versions go for about $450 CAD and come in 240Hz and 300Hz compared to the original which is 180Hz. The biggest upgrade is the number of dimming zones has been increased from 336 to 1152, but blooming hasn't been a problem for me so 336 dimming zones has been sufficient. Q27G3XMN = 180 Hz 336 dimming zones Q27G4ZMN = 240 Hz 1152 dimming zones Q27G4SMN = 300 Hz 1152 dimming zones If you want a monitor that is close to OLED quality without the downsides you may want to consider these options. They are all listed on this Amazon product page: https://www.amazon.ca/AOC-Q27G3XMN-2560x1440-Adjustable-Zero-Bright-dot/dp/B0C8ZJKPWC Here is my build: https://ca.pcpartpicker.com/b/cJ78TW

Gotcha. First, a monitor. I picked the Acer Predator X27u Z1bmiiprx, and no I have no idea where the model number comes from. It's a very nice 27" OLED: 1440p, 280Hz, HDR400. If you'd rather not get an OLED, this 27" AOC is very nice too. For the PC, here's a few options. MicroCenter Prebuilt $1399 - PowerSpec G731 Gaming PC; AMD Ryzen 7 7700X; NVIDIA GeForce 5060 Ti 16GB; 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 1TB SSD MicroCenter Prebuilt $1799 - PowerSpec G729 Gaming PC; AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D; AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT; 32GB DDR5-6000 RAM; 2TB SSD 3. They just get the parts cheaper. The $1399 machine is a good machine and should game quite well. The DIY build will be neck-and-neck with the $1399 MicroCenter. The cpu is newer, but 2 less cores, which ends up being a wash. The 5060Ti and 9060XT are close enough to be basically tied.
