I just switched to this exact builder gel and it's been working great for myself and anyone else who's nails I do for fun. https://a.co/d/0cHrJQG7 You'll need the UV lamp to cure it, and I'd recommend it with the whole set of base coat, builder gel, color (optional), and top coat. After curing, it'll be sticky so don't touch it, just do your next coat in the process until you get to the top coat. If you need to stop during the process, use alcohol and a wipe/cotton ball to take the sticky coating off... you can finish them at any time later (one of the many reasons I've switched from the dip powder to gel!). For the builder gel, it'll self level, so put the coat on and then flip your hand over and angle it for how you want it to dome/level... once you get it where you want, put it in the light. :) I bet you could get away with a clear polish then a semi transparent nude/pink for a subtle and natural looking French tip!
