Before I adopted my cat back in April, I did some hw here on Reddit and landed on an automatic feeder. The feeder allows me to divide her kibble into 6 small meals MAX. I have it set for 8am, 12pm, 3pm, 6pm, 9pm, and the last one is either 3am or 4am. Plus i give her wet food in the morning and at night. It’s uses dual power - (1) plugs into the wall and (2) uses three D batteries just in case electricity goes out. Only regret is that I wish I would’ve paid the extra $12 for the wifi version that way I can adjust the feedings times through the mobile app instead of bending down to set the feeder. Aside from that, I’m glad I have it and it’s made feeding her consistently so much easier. I can sleep with my door shut, let her remain in the living room and know she’ll be fed while I’m knocked out. My cat cannot have access to my room while I sleep at night because she gets the zoomies and will try to attack my feet thru the covers. Hurts like a b*tch when her nails grow in.
