If the water moves, it has a pump. But the one I use is a big steel bowl at the bottom that can be drunk from, then it has a separate metal upside down bowl in the in the middle of dish that houses a pump that pushes water out of the tip of the upside down bowl. The only issue is like all pumps, they die every few years. But a new pump are around $5-10 to replace as they are generic small fish pump. This is similar to what I have but mine is not as tall. Mine is more mound shaped.
