Nah, dude. Try this - get the Realgood Foods gluten free chicken strips (also a Costco item). Air fry or bake them, cut into chunks. While those are cooking, make the sauce - finely mince 2-3 cloves of garlic and about 1/3 that much of ginger, pan fry in peanut or avocado oil on low-med heat (if you want it a little spicy, fry a shake or two of chili flakes as well). Mix .25 cup sugar, .5 cup orange juice (fresh squeezed, trust me), zest of maybe half an orange, .25 cup white vinegar, 2tbsp light soy sauce (I like the LKK one), a splash of dark soy (optional, this one is good). Mix well, then crank the heat for just a sec and add all that to the pan. Allow it to heat up and stir to incorporate then stir in a cornstarch slurry (2tbsp cornstarch, 2tbsp water) bit by bit as needed, stirring to incorporate. Give it a little bit between additions as the cornstarch works on the sauce as it heats up. Once desired gloopy sauce texture, add a splash or two of sesame oil, stir in your chicken, and mix well so it's all coated. Serve over rice and with broccoli or something and it makes 3-4 servings.
