Yes I was too and I didn't start learning about a lot more until my 20s and 30s. I am also super picky and don't like to cook so a lot of advice and things that felt normal to other adults were super hard for me. I really liked this book: https://a.co/d/08zxX3xN It is older but has a lot of good ideas and stuff you can definitely do even if you haven't done much cooking or don't really like to cook. Plus the ingredients are easy to find and more plain, which is what I was looking for. A lot of people will talk about exploring ethnic foods which IS a good thing to do BUT I know for me it was scary and overwhelming enough in the beginning to get used to being gluten free and I wasn't ready for adding more new things at the same time. So it's okay to go your own pace. You might already know this stuff but here are some tips on basic stuff you should be able to get: Cheerios and most Chex cereals are gluten free, so are Lucky Charms and Trix. Lots of potato chips and Cheetos are gluten free - check the label. Pringles are not safe. Depending on where you buy food, you should be able to find good snacks and things. Walmart and Target have gluten free sections which are small but getting better. Look in the freezer section and again in the aisles for snacks and stuff. For Italian food, the Banza gluten free pasta is really good and the Barilla is decent. Target has a good store brand too. A lot of premade sauces are gluten free so just double check. When we do that in our house, I have the gluten free pasta and everyone else has the regular. And we share sauce. Meatballs are not usually safe unless you make them yourself. Make sure if you're doing a meal that's mixed (like some people have gluten and some don't) to make sure you cook yours separately and always go "first" - when having pizza, I cut mine first and then give the pizza cutter to family members who can use it on their regular pizza after. (But you can't use it after they do.) Pizza - look for gluten free crust. You should be able to find some frozen ones. The cauliflower ones are usually the best. Some restaurants have them depending on where you live. Restaurant websites will help a lot. You can also Google for gluten free restaurants in your city. I hope this helps. It's hard at first but it will get easier! Let me know if you have other questions. :)
