How much money do you have to spend? If I were going to set up a home gym, I would get three things: A cheap adjustable bench, such as the flybird adjustable bench ($127 on sale) Doorframe pullup bar, such as the irongym which can also be used for deficit pushups ($26) A set of adjustable dumbbells; if you have the money, the mx55 select quick-change dumbbells are on sale and GREAT value right now ($329) or if you're on a budget get two of these yes4all spin-lock adjustable dumbbells ($134). Those three things will let you do pretty much everything you need. Resistance bands could also be helpful - can be useful if you're not yet able to do a pullup, or assisting movements like reverse nordics or sissy squats. Definitely get adjustable dumbbells though, because pretty quickly 5 kg is going to be way too little. This setup could take you really far with just a simple full-body routine like: Dumbbell Lunges 3 sets of 6-10 reps Pullups 3 sets of many reps as possible; once you hit 20 reps add some weight in a backpack superset with Incline Dumbbell Press 3 sets of 6-10 reps Single-leg Romanian Deadlift 3 sets of 6-10 reps One-arm Dumbbell Row 3 sets of 6-10 reps superset with Dumbbell Lateral Raises 3 sets of 10-20 reps Do that consistently 2-3 times per week, trying to add a rep or two across your sets, adding weight to the dumbbells where indicated once you can do three sets of 10, and after a few months you'll be ready to re-assess and upgrade if needed.
