They sell collapsible ones that look identical to the ones in your picture. As for your "a beer can won't fit in there" claim: it's not supposed to slide in from the top. My guess is that you bend the legs outwards and fit the can in that way, then adjust them so that the legs stand up straight. EIther that, or it's meant for skinnier cans.
