My safe is a "waterproof" one so there is no access for a cord to plug in a constant one. You can retrofit one. I bought a power kit intended for Liberty safes off Amazon. On the Liberty safes they have a Knockout in the sheet metal that allows the kit to be installed. All I had to do was use a dremel to cut out the same shape needed for the knock out and then to cut out a round hole in the inner sidewall (made of drywall). It was not difficult at all, just measure things carefully before cutting. Look at the photos in the reviews and you will find a review by someone who did the same thing. One tip: Use blue painters tape where you intend to cut and draw the shape on the tape. It would be really difficult to draw the shape on the black save and see it clearly when cutting.
