Get yourself a set of these. They're "left-handed" drill bits, meaning they work on the reverse direction on the drill. The intent is that once you do down far enough, and you're past the corrosion ridge, the drill bit will catch and drive the screw out. Doesn't work that way all the time, but one of two things will certainly happen... Either you'll drill the screw out like you would with a standard drill bit, or you'll drill part way into it and the screw will back out. Win-win either way. If the space is too tight to fit a drill in, you can get a 90° drill adapter Also, any time you're drilling into metal, use low speed, light but steady pressure, and lube to cool the bit and the workpiece. If you start to hear squeaking, chirping, or see smoke... You're running the bit too hot, and you're risking work-hardening the workpiece - which will make it harder to drill and it will dull your bit. All of that may sound intimidating... But you can do it. And when you do, you're gonna be stoked!
