I wanted to like the sleep mask or headband style (these are the ones I tried) so much, but I'm a side sleeper and the speakers hurt my ears. I love these corded earbuds, though. I don't feel them at all, unlike the regular corded earbuds I used to use. I do have to replace them somewhat often (once or twice a year) but they're only $10 so it doesn't feel too painful. (I use an old iPod Touch or an old android phone as a music/video player so I don't need to worry about my good phone getting lost in the bed or falling out of the bed. I just put the device under my pillow and move it when I turn over. But I get that corded headphones might not work for everyone.) I've also tried these wireless bluetooth earbuds and don't care for them (in case you're interested in something to not try, lol). They bother the cartilage in my ear after a while, are tricky to position so the speaker is in the right place, and even though they stay in securely, they feel like they're going to fall out. Battery life was excellent, though. I'd get 2-3 nights use before needing to charge the case. I like the convenience of cordless, though, so I'll probably end up trying a different style at some point. Edit: Oh, maybe something like these that are the earbud style I like, but are bluetooth with a cord around the neck but that doesn't tie you to the device.
