Dealership will typically do it for the first 2 paid free service as a courtesy. Otherwise if you dont want to be charged $200, get a scan tool to do it yourself or borrow a friends that can do it. I use a Launch x431 Pro that I bought for my Mclaren and BMWs that supposedly can do it for Toyota's/Lexus . But while for me the $900 price tag was cheap compared to the $15000+ official mclaren MDS scan tool ($5000 if you want a gray market offline version), It isnt going to be cost effective for you... So a few choices for you are buy a carista scan tool...which is easy to use but sucks these days with their monthly subscription cost. Or 2) buy a more expensive scan tool specifically for toyota that has free lifetime updates and no monthly subscription. Or 3) look for a bootlegged version of the Toyota Techstream scan tool software..they usually come with those cheap chinese Techstream compatible cables that are sold all over eBay, alibaba and/or aliexpress. BMw has something similar called ISTA , and there's floating free versions of it that you can use if you buy the cable for around $30 that I have. I havent started on Lexus but probably will over the next few months with my GF's 26 Rx .... Sorry i dont have further details beyond some preliminary research, but I would also check out clublexus.com. People on those old forums seem to be a lot more informed and hands on and know what they are doing than here on reddit.
