Pick up a workbook like this one ASAP and get to it before BMQ and even during the first couple of weeks when possible (something to do when they’ve taken your phone away also). Focus on coping techniques for high levels of stress because that’s where the middle weeks will be going. https://a.co/d/0e80AQGi Anxiety is a difficult issue from my experience working with CAF members. It can bring out some really high performance in people if it’s under control and channeled into doing the job really well, but you need to be able to overcome its tendency to paralyze you at times. Many of the NCOs referred to me who are identified as really well respected and accomplished by the referring clinician are often people who are very motivated not to fail at their tasks and let others down, and a lot of that can be anxiety-based in a good way, particularly when one focuses on using the anxiety to push oneself to changing the things you can change, rather than focussing on the stuff out of your control. If you focus on the stuff out of your control though, and worry and fret about that, the anxiety can really run your life.
