I appreciate the info, and the reassurance! To be honest, I know little to nothing about electrical engineering, wiring or car audio; the friend I bought the subs off of is also the one who’ll be doing the install job for me, and he’s the one who could give you technical info about what the setup will look like. I also may have given inaccurate information on the subs, I’ve been referring to them as 2 12s but I believe it is in fact one 12” sub and one passive radiator? This is the one I have. I’ll also link you to the wiring kit I bought in case that helps fill in some of the blanks. I apologize for my lack of knowledge, this is all very new and very exciting to me!
Genuine question, what are you implying or picturing when you say bs connections and wires? I bought this Skar 4-gauge OFC wiring kit, same one that was used for this exact setup previously in a similar vehicle with an even weaker alternator. I’ll be enlisting the help of the friend I bought the sub & amp off of, who’s done plenty of wiring for me in the past without issue. I only share this because I’m imagining you think I may be using incorrect wire gauge or am likely to do a shoddy job at hooking everything up. Please correct me if I’m misunderstanding.
