The Original Illustrated Sherlock Holmes

I loved to read as a child. Especially late at night when it was all quiet. Growing up in South Central, L.A. in a two bedroom, one bathroom bungalow with up to 11 people during the height of the crack epidemic, reading was my main avenue to temporarily escape the ghetto. One of my favorite books was The Original Illustrated Sherlock Holmes. Ultimately this love of reading helped me escape the ghetto IRL all the way to Stanford University.
