I actually really like the metal wire ones, although they can be kind of “floppy” with heavier parts. Wooden ones, both manufactured and diy, I’ve noticed the heads can loosen up on the sticks… But regardless, you never have enough painting sticks! Also: when painting/drying, I use cat scratchers to stand my sticks in! A LOT cheaper than bases marketed for hobby/modeling!
