Rocksteady, even in the "wide" mode will crop a bit. The DJI FOX Boost lens combined with Rocksteady will not only undo the crop, but will actually make it wider than if you were to shoot in Ultrawide WITHOUT rocksteady! So really, if you want the widest possible shot, use Rocksteay with the FOV lens. The DJI lens is expensive, but I've used the Neewer Wide Angle Lens for half the price with the same result. As for the instagram 9:16 footage, there is no physical way to get the same FOV as 16:9 into a 9:16 unless you letterbox your footage. That's just the laws of physics, and not a fault of the camera. I either post the square footage, or the 16:9 footage. If you really want to see your handlebars AND the direction you are traveling, you have to mount your camera lower.
