Yeah. The cutout seems where you would put a big grill & a table opposite. Then nearer the wall, maybe the fire pit in the middle & a outdoor seating, couch chairs etc. Maybe think about power washing, then using concrete paint. Can do a solid color, then use stencils to make tile, or flagstone, central mosaic, giraffe pattern or whatever effects. Then use a traction sealer so it is not slippery. Use a metal edger to keep the gravel in place under the grill.
