This is the one I have. Nothing fancy but works. 2 usb A, 2 usb C, hdmi (I’ve never used) and 100w usb c power pass through. I had a more expensive one with sd card slots and a headphone jack that worked great at first but recently started disconnecting and reconnecting constantly. https://a.co/d/0cPueEfV

UGreen Revodok (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1XLNWP2) has worked for me. It can just keep up with power (it might lose a few percent an hour in PS2 or GC) and audio/video have been defect-free.

Here's an example of one with headset: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08FBMQKRP and here's one without: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1XLNWP2 The problems happen when the iPad has to choose between the headphone out and the audio interface (if you connect one). I think it gets confused and you have to choose the correct output and sometimes the iPad doesn't make a sound etc... So if you use an audio interface, just use the dock without headphone out.

Yeah, there are going to be some compromises in a $600 MacBook. This is one of them but not a big deal. I got this a while back and it works great on my M2 MBP, Mac Mini and my PCs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D1XLNWP2
