If you're talking about squat shoes with an elevated heel I would not wear those for anything besides squat patterns, calf raises ROM will be more limited with them. They do help with ankle mobility if you're trying to do a quad-biased squat and keep the torso more upright. If you're talking more about general purpose lifting shoes with zero heel to toe drop that's totally fine and great for all lifting and gives you a nice flat and wide stable platform. But it's not going to help you with ankle mobility at that point. You could just get a pair of squat wedges so you can easily elevate your heels with any shoes just for squats without needing to change shoes.
