When we got to the plane we then gate checked the dolly. Our daughter used the car seat on the plane. Once we got to our VRBO the car seat and dolly never saw the light of day until we left. In the UK we found out that the black cabs have a way to very securely strap a stroller ("pram") in. And that was on the rare occasion that we traveled by car in London. The underground is incredibly extensive and inefficient.
