Sure thing. I never stopped training physically. Just because your lower body is smashed you can still work your upper body. I modified many exercises and the luxuries of working with physical trainers that kept my moving. I was literally the one legged guy in a brace on an aerodyne for weeks until I got full ROM on my knee. I "stopped" rolling and drilling, for approximately 4 months. Then I returned at approximately month 5/6 only drilling from top side position, still in the off loader brace to my comfort level. My poor training partners took metal to their faces for months. I didn't have my actual first live go off the feet till month 12th at full speed. By this time I transitioned out to a soft brace with a hinger. I used this product for the next 6+ months. https://a.co/d/019t4knH You should never stop and do absolutely nothing, the brain is incredibly resilient in how nerves fire and there are numerous articles on training the undamaged limb while the other recovers. I hope this helps.
