All good! It's a Female to Male 1/2 Inch Extender you'll need, but check the filter for the pipe size too. You can also get them off Amazon (just as an example). Reece/TradeLink will also have them if you have one of them closer to you. ETA: just occurred to me that the filter thread size might be the problem. Check the specs on the filter before buying anything. You might not even need it. I thought it was the physical size of the filter you were talking about (too close to the wall)
