Interesting position. My point being American society is quite a bit better than average societies the world over. A few probably qualify as more peaceful, but American society is demonstrably safer and more peaceful than the majority of societies across the world. To disqualify any member as no longer human is quite leap in authority. Maybe read about some other societies before throwing your own away. It's not pedantic to recognize the validity of borders and the effects they have on people's societal expectations therein.
