The last thing I need is more running clothes (according to my husband, anyway), but I’m totally saving this post for future reference. Thank you so much for compiling this list and going over the pros and cons in such detail! Can I share a favorite of mine? These are my tried-and-true running shorts. I literally own them in a dozen colors. I’m 5’0 and my weight has fluctuated A LOT in recent years (I’ve been every size from 0 to 14), but this is the one clothing item I’ve re-purchased every time my size has changed because I love the fit so much. They don’t ride up or cause chaffing, the fabric is a good weight (thin enough to keep you cool without being flimsy or sheer), they have a wider leg opening for those of us with thick thighs, and they hold up well in the wash. Right now, I wear a size 2 or 4 in jeans depending on the brand and a medium fits me most comfortably (they run a bit small in the waist so I recommend sizing up if you’re in between sizes). My only complaint is that the pocket’s zipper sometimes gets stuck, but other than that, they’re great, especially for the price!
