I put the frozen bags into the water, and with the water at 150°F they get to temp in 35-60 minutes depending on how many frozen bags you drop in at one time. The more you add the longer it takes. I've setup my sous vide on a cooler fill of water and dropped in 10 lbs of frozen that heated to serving temp in an hour. I usually set my sous vide heater (https://a.co/d/0fxfYxI5) to 150°F and to run for 4hrs, then once the water hits 150°F I add the frozen bags. Also, no need to buy a fancy sous vide heating container, I use large stock pots and regular old igloo coolers 😂 Not to get into the physics of why, but this method works so efficiently because water transfers heat 25 times faster than air (i.e. heating in an oven).
