This is less than I paid for my RS Lite in 2024 🫠🫠🫠 But enjoy it broski, it’s a fucking beautiful ride. The geometry is unlike any other scooter I’ve ever ridden and just so comfy and stable. Couple of things from someone’s who’s ridden 3000miles on it: - It has regenerative breaking, but turn it off completely when you get it. There’s a VERY well known issue with the regen braking overheating the motor and frying it, along with the wires that connect it to the controller. It’s a shame they haven’t fixed this issue with the 2.0 version you have, but they haven’t. The hydraulic brakes it comes with are amazing on their own and new brake pads are $16 compared to $500 for a new motor. Voro is also continuously out of stock of the motors, some dudes have been waiting 4 months for a warranty replacement and still have not received them. You’ll save yourself massive headaches by turning off regen braking immediately. - There is a good chance your brakes will be unaligned after you unbox the scoot for the first time. Meaning when the wheels spin, the rotor might be scraping against the brake pads and you’ll be able to hear it. Snag this tool off Amazon now, (https://a.co/d/07yBnW6n) and with a quick YouTube search, you’ll be able to align the brakes easily. It’s normal for them to become unaligned in transit, and many of us thought something was wrong when it arrived but it’s actually totally normal. - When you first go to setup the scoot, and you’re trying to get the stem latch to lock and screw in, you’re going to have to push WAY HARDER than you think to get it in place. It’s much easier to have a friend pushing on the handlebars, while you get the latch into position and screw it into place. This scoot is really not meant to be unlatched very often and they made it that way. - Understand that you’ve basically just bought yourself a motorcycle that you stand up on. Be prepared to have to maintain and fix everything yourself. Unless you’re in a rare area with a scooter shop nearby. Brake pad replacements every 500-600miles, tire replacements every 1500-2000miles, brake line bleed and piston cleaning every 1000-1500miles. All the same stuff you’d have to do on a motorcycle. If you don’t take care of this thing, it won’t take care of you. But if you do, it’s absolutely one of the best things that will have ever happened to you! - Voro is a decent company and they mean well, but they’re wayyyyy over-swamped with customer service issues to the point that it seems like they don’t have good customer service. They have a large inventory of stuff to sell, and they sell a lot of PEVs. But, they’re a small office with a small staff so don’t expect the best communication from them. - Because of the last thing I wrote above, YouTube is going to be your best friend. For all maintenance or upgrade questions, all your answers are there. And on here if you search. There’s also an RS subreddit. Some of my fav upgrades for it are:- Scooter stem bag (always keep some main tools and zip ties in here)- Wide mountain bike handlebars (straight, any brand, I went with Race Face)- Pidzoom rear view helmet mirror (don’t get handbag mirrors, they’re the most annoying things on the planet)- Pidzoom TPMS (the one with two monitors, one for each tire)- Second charger. Absolute game changer for long rides, increases charging speed by double.- PMT Stradale tires (not necessary immediately, I went 2000miles on the stock tires and their fine, but PMTs are the best)
