I pulled the dash and connected it to the wires for the accessory port then just zip tied the port to the cable bundle on the left. My phone is normally in my pocket as I use a wireless android auto unit. If my battery is low, I put my phone in my tank bag and run a cable out to the charging port. I have used it to charge my cordless tire pump and a flashlight too. 12v port charger would have been fine too, but I like this better so far.
