These. things. murder. rats. dead. Thet were eating my feed nightly and yes it is a pain in the ass to have to move it twice a day. They were in my home's crawlspace. We could hear them scurrying around and they drove my dogs crazy. They would bark all the time at the AC return vent. I bought 2 of them. One was near the coop and the other was near a vent outside at the house. We have not had a dead rat in either for 2 weeks. I lost count at the number we killed. Instant death, humane with zero maimed barely alive rats you get with the standard traps. No touch cleanout, reusable. The only thing I added to it was 2 teaspoons of peanut butter in the bait cup that I have never needed to change out. AND the chickens can't accidentally trip them and get hurt. I was skeptical when I bought them, but now I am a convert. From the looks of it you need at least four and maybe eight to start.
