I don't have any issue with parts list.Make sure to keep the monitor in mind go for something like ~144Hz IPS monitor maybe something like:https://www.amazon.com/ASUS-Gaming-viewable-Monitor-VG249QE5A/dp/B0F234D8G9/ I would really recommend setting up their Windows account as a child account and enabling parental controls, restricting web access, and restricting screen time, and parental controls for what games can be accessed in Steam. Otherwise if you give them admin access be prepared to have to wipe the computer + reinstall Windows after they install a bunch of garbage or get trolled into deleting system32 folder. _________________________ For me, I would say that online multiplayer pvp only games are toxic time-sinks that you should make sure they spend less time on. The specs you listed are more than enough to emulate many different systems, so setting up retroarch and focusing on older console single player games is one of the other things I'd recommend.Just be careful about where you get the games from stay away from googling random ROM sites and ending up with malware _________________________ Specific game ideas? Single player / coop games! Minecraft yes. Portal 1 and Portal 2.Portal 2 has Co-op levels, but it's good if you've both played through Portal 1 at least so you understand the basics of "Portal" Maybe do a playthrough of Mario 64 multiplayer mod with them:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rKDCRdnraQk Satisfactory - that's one of my favs and it's multiplayer.https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aoHCYhlYjlcIt's on Steamhttps://store.steampowered.com/app/526870/Satisfactory/ Subnautica 1.https://store.steampowered.com/app/264710/Subnautica/Either as single player, or you can both play co-op usinghttps://nitrox.rux.gg/And then there's Subnautica 2 which is good to play through after you play through the first one."Subnautica 2 is rated E10+ for Everyone 10+ by the ESRB with Fantasy Violence and Language" (swearing) Magicka - a game were you go on an adventure to save the world by casting spells. "Cartoon" level violence, with some blood.https://store.steampowered.com/app/42910/Magicka/ Baba is You: Puzzle game.https://store.steampowered.com/app/736260/Baba_Is_You Alien Swarm. It's the coop game where you shoot at swarms of aliens, and if you both die it shows you on the map where things went bad lol.https://store.steampowered.com/app/630/Alien_Swarm/ HL2https://store.steampowered.com/app/220/HalfLife_2/and then for free add and set up and use the "Synergy" multi-player coop mod.https://store.steampowered.com/app/17520/Synergy/You could do a playthrough together, though the game Hl2 is violent it does include some problem solving stuff. and puzzles between combat - but there is quite a bit of shooting.Maybe save it for when they are older like 14+ idk. Sanctum. It's "shoot aliens" coop first person tower defense game. You build a maze and towers for the enemies to have to walk through, and then when you both ready up the enemy wave arrives and you shoot at them. It's a bit older, and is a bit limited in a few ways compared to some of the other games on teh list, but is a fun co-op game to jump into.https://store.steampowered.com/app/91600/Sanctum/
