I see that this unit clearly has a tube. I would have to guess that these same units fit MANY different makes/models since there are so many aftermarket units available. Most I have seen do NOT seem to show a tube. But I could imagine that the tube might lower the sensitivity to cold as socks do for my feet here in the wet and cold Pacific Northwest. That might make allow for a somewhat longer running time and, hence, a lower temperature in the fridge box. And you are 100% right about the tube's part number. I see one here. Perhaps you are onto the key element here. I will check tomorrow to see if it is there and if the bulb is covered. Best!
