look up the minimum specs for java and compare the one you are thinking of. Most Laptops can run it. It depends on the budget you set, I have a Lenovo LOQ with a 4050 and i5 13th gen I would reccomend buying a Lenovo LQO with a 5060 or a 5050, you need more then 8 gigs of ram if you want to multi task,The Laptop I recommend It should be plenty, it's a little pricey but it's the best I've seen.What you should look for is one with a gpu, it starts with an RTX or a Radeon RX. you want DDR5 ram cause it is the fastest on the market, but there is a shortage so it may be very expensive, and either an intel cpu, that's i3 i5 i7 i9 or core 3 core 5 core 7 core 9, or an AMD cpu so that's Ryzen 5, or Ryzen 7. (I'm not the best with AMD cpu's) I said this before more then 8 gigs of ram and a big nvme ssd, so like around a terabyte or 500 gigs. It depends if your playing modded or not, or having shaders
