I cannot stand anything in my ears. Instead I use a padded sleeping eye mask with Bluetooth headphones for sleep: https://a.co/d/000nFlII or a headband with Bluetooth headphones for walking the dog outside: https://a.co/d/0ckSdh2o (they can also be slept in, but I find the padded eye mask more comfortable). Both are soft and good for side sleepers. Inexpensive way to improve my quality of sleep. I'll play podcasts or ASMR videos if I need to drown something out. Best wishes finding what works for you!
