I’m not sure if these would help, but I get a similar pain when I use standard ear plugs (or literally any other ear plugs). These are soft, sticky-ish wax pieces, kind of like a putty consistency? You can squish them into your ear. I’ve found them to be very good for keeping noise out, and they don’t expand or cause pressure, so they don’t hurt me.
