I recommend this novel I read 20 years ago. It’s been a while but I remember it was a fun, easy read that I found compelling and not too deep (perfect for a roadtrip book). It takes place in a little known California town. Has the flavor of what our state used to be in a lot of ways, and still is…in some small pockets. I hope you enjoy it.
