We've done a lot of road trips with our kiddo since she was about 9m old. I usually keep a basket of soft toys that I can reach from the front to hand to her. She just needs time to eat, have a diaper, and move her body. Does she use a paci? We only allowed paci during sleep, but we would relax that rule for road trips. We also bring a paci clip to keep the paci from dropping where she couldn't reach it. I kept a clean spare in a plastic cup up front. For music, we would put on kids music on Spotify playlists.
