Hi! We carried a portable potty with us like this And chux pads in the car seat. Do not use actual puppy pads, they have some hormones in them that are not safe for kids. We also carried a portable potty topper for trips we got a nice one from “One proud toddler” that didn’t pinch her skin and came in a carrying case and had rubber on the bottom and didn’t slide around.We also waited until all our trips passed and I kind of regretted it tbh, if she is showing all these signs of readiness def just do it. You can also use pull-ups in the car but I really hated doing that bc it is a cop out and then they get confused especially at the start. ETA: the travel potty I posted folds up very small, comes in a carrying case and comes with bags for poop and is easy to rinse on the go with water bottles for pee if needed.
