I have a lot of folliculitis all over my scalp , somewhat on my facial hair, but it's not that bad since it's growing in. I bought this shampoo from Amazon which has helped and just disinfecting everything, my razor, tweezers whatever . Also keep my face clean with witch hazel or really anything you would use to disinfect scars . When you pull out the hair it basically creates a open wound and folliculitis is just an infection of the hair follicles. The best thing I found was really not shaving and just moisturizing my hair was the best thing . If I get ingrown hairs I use the hydrocolloid patches for pimples . If my scalp is sore I really just use a brush or something to scratch it. When I feel the urge to pull I take it as my brain is telling me my face/scalp is irrated, sore due to the folliculitis or something else like stress, not eating the right stuff or something else versus the idea I'm crazy for needing to pull out my hair. But I've had this shit since I was a kid like a little kid . It never really went away (everyone is different) I've just found ways to cope with it . I've went years without pulling just to relapse and start all over it doesn't happen. Progress isn't always linear .
