I totally understand what you mean, I had a lot of mixed feelings being plus size all my life especially in the cosplay community where being skinny and conventionally attractive is still overwhelming desired. I even had times where people would tell me that my cosplay was great while I had to convince myself that I looked ok enough to leave the house and was down all day at the con because of feeling too fat to wear the cosplay. It's better now after distancing from social media, but that feeling never went away 100%. I mean to be honest, it's not that the whole cosplay itself was bad quality, it had nice hemming and lining, but I'm not sure if it's because they waited to the last minute or couldn't figure out how to construct certain parts that they weren't accurate in design. It was a more complicated outfit compared to a school uniform, so I don't think there will be many issues there. I think the real concern is if it will arive on time and back up plans. What I would recommend to do is to find a gray blazer, green skirt, white button up, and red tie that will fit you. You can try to look at your local stores and especially thrift stores which should have at least the white button up. I found this gray blazer as an example. There's this adjustable red tie and you can even get a fake button up (better for less layers) called a dickey . You can use this green skirt maybe. If you want any of the green stripes on the blazer, you can go to your local craft store and get some green ribbon that you can either sew or glue on (just remember you can wash sewed ribbon but not really for glued). You could also probably use bias tape alternatively.
